No, I read On the Road years ago (on one of my various voyages). Not easy reading. Did wonder whether to give it another go, but not sure I'd find it any easier now!
To me, like touring the Highlands, it is a trip to be enjoyed, not rushed. The smaller back roads are great Morgan diversions for a slow pace of life and often better (as in fewer other people) for local scenery
