My son & I have just spent 3 weeks and over 3,000 miles driving the mother road but from LA to Chicago as it was early in the season.
My wife joined till Flagstaff AZ.

Vegas was kitsch to put it mildly but the state parks around it were stunning. Not a bad hotel room view.
