Push the nozzle all the way in, fill slowly till pump cuts out. Wait 10sec pull nozzle back part way & fill slowly till cuts out & repeat once. Leave the locking cap off & hinged cap not latched, go & pay. Return fit locking cap & latch hinged cap & drive away. Sloping forecourts likely mean you will get less fuel in & mess up you mpg calcs.
Before I adopted this method I have had rough running for several miles, engine cutting out after a few seconds & the engine warning light on. Never had total failure to start after fuelling.
