Wood... yes, I've also had to explain the difference in a chassis and a frame. I use the house analogy; "the chassis (steel) is like the foundation of your house, the frame (ash) is like the framing of your house inside the walls. Where you see pained rivets, there's wood underneath ( mostly true)... where the rivets are raw, it's attached to the chassis."
