Okay!
First Cars ....not the first car you drove but the first car you owned!
Mine was a 1973 Volkswagen Beetle - carnary yellow (not sure of the official colour name but it was dire!).
The chrome was starting to give way to rust on the bumpers and hub caps AND the side steps had lost the battle long ago. It was a distant family hand-me-down but despite the colour, I was so happy to have a car and to gain the freedom that comes with it!
