A couple of photos of my M3W with a C-47A Dakota that I am involved in preserving and restoring at the RAF Metheringham Museum in Lincolnshire. This Dakota has some WW2 history and sadly is far from airworthy, we are aiming to restore it to a good ground display condition and build a hangar to keep it in.
If you are ever in the area the museum is small but well worth a visit and is dedicated to those who served in 106 Squadron with Lancaster Bombers there. Dakotas also used the airfield for casualty evacuation to the nearby American Hospital at Nocton Hall after D-Day, so it does have a connection. The airfield closed soon after the war. The museum is operated entirely by volunteers and is part of the Lincolnshire Aviation heritage trail:
