I feel your pain. Did the same to my plus 4 by the roof frame falling on the wheel while I was trying to fiddle with the back. Easily done.

Better to get the odd mark or two and enjoy using your car in the way it was intended than keep a perfect but stone cold queen in the garage.

I guess I've arrived at a kind of compromise with mine. It gets used most of the year and so picks up marks, some I've caused and others just from use. I still fuss over it but without becoming paranoid about it. I have no intention of locking it away only to be enjoyed by the next owner.

Moto lita will redo it if you need to. Depending on how deep the marks are you can sand it back and relaquer it, I did with one of my wheels and changed the colour at the same time.
