...just an idea:
there is an "antenna" surrounding the lock behind the cowl fairing that is suposed to communicate with the transponder in the ignition key. Sometimes thes "sit" a bit derranged....
In most cases it did help to fix them (with some "neoprene"
) around the lock just close to the fairing.
