Hi Ken,

After driving the M3W a good 75 miles yesterday, I think my rattling/clanking problem is not related to the bevel box or drive train. I also removed the trunk liner to inspect the drive train area from above and didn't notice anything loose or broken around the belt, etc.

The noise seems to be coming from right behind the seat, towards the upper part of the seat specifically. Is this where the fuel rollover valve is located? How do I gain access to it so secure it with a tie wrap?

Thanks for your help!

Yep... that's where it is. On my US spec car it's right behind the drivers head, and the sound comes through the shoulder belt flit. It's a common rattle...I was surprised nobody else mentioned it. Look for the fuel lines running into/ out of it. Mine was hanging straight down. Mine only rattled when I also had a passenger with me! I used long electrical ties to snug it against a section of nearby framework. Maybe I'll get motivated later to remove the liner and take a photo.
