Phew..!
Arrived home just in time for Corrie this evening after an exhausting four nights out with the 'gang'. Ian landed a short while later & Steve a couple of hours after this as he's missed out anything bigger than a cart track on the way South.
Jays of course, is still over there having some quality time with a lovely lady and some cold chicken, salad & Malbec..!
What a superb few days. My first time over there and after some forty years motorbiking it was long overdue. Such hospitality from so many lovely Islanders.
But that course... Jeez, what those guys do when they race. We had our own few 'moments' in the unlimited parts, as you do. Usually followed by a local in the souped up jalopy or being buzzed by the mountain regulars on two wheels.
Pleased to report all the cars ran faultlessly, and big respect to Steve's Healey which had some welly in places. It sounds simply gorgeous from behind, too.
Curiously, all of the alloy filler caps have picked up salt corrosion dust for some reason. I dread to think how my bonnet's going to look when I give it a full wash, although we've had several rainfall showers during the night to wash the worst off.
To the rest of the Wild Moggers, thanks for the laughs guys. And here's to the next one..!
