I thought Adrian had worked with the factory to resolve Roadster rev-hang problem? Was there not a re-map issued?
There is a detailed report on the forum on what was done and testing undertaken. It basically involves a replacement ECU from Aero Racing which effectively changes the mapping. The one supplied by Ford is locked down and cannot be flashed. The end result is a much more drivable car and improves it no end. At the time every 3.7 Roadster I drove which had not had the replacement ECU exhibited the rev hang. If you know what you are doing, you need to be a bit of a hooligan and accelerate very hard, it kicks in around 4500rpm, and change up gear quickly when over 4500rpm (do not fo this unless you have a clear road ahead)
and is also evident with overrun at 70mph and above with throttle lift off(once the engine is run in and has loosened up).
I'm not sure MMC still or can offer the replacement ECU, anyone wanting one would have to talk with them or through their dealer.
