When they produce a viable hybrid version it will be on my list!

I've come to the conclusion that I'm old and increasingly distanced from the world today.
Jaguar used to make sporting cars combining refinement, grace and agility.
Unfortunately the modern money in much of the world wants a brand and a box, because they are not drivers. So, as with Bentley, Rolls Royce, Jaguar has been forced to follow the money and produce what the modern market demands.
As with the F Pace I'm sure it will be a fine SUV. But it isn't a Jaguar: the XE, XF and XJ Class saloon and Estate are stunning cars, the F Type better than many a sports car, but because they are not made in Germany few people buy them.
Perhaps they should have resurrected the Daimler name, but then perhaps Daimler Benz AG would have objected....

I hate SUVs, they are neither cross country vehicles nor trucks.
In a moment of madness I bought an Evoque. A triumph of style over substance and lots of wind and road noise, poor ergonomics, uncomfortable seating and it drank fuel.
Terminally unreliable as well, the only car in 40 years that has let me down and stuck on the side of the road waiting for a recovery vehicle.
