Thanks for the variety of replies. I understand the theory and application of the swivels. My problem, poorly stated, is that I have a new hood, will be having to put the fasteners on by locating positions, punching holes etc. It came with no fasteners in place. My question is along some of the answers given. How tight should I have the hood as I place each new fastener? Sounds like if I do the install with the bows in the down position there may be an issue in too taunt when levering up. If I install the fasteners with the levers up there will be no tighten effect thus negating the lever need. Or do I split the difference and put levers in partial up position when doing this? Now going to count my louvers again...
