If the Morgan is what I think it is (an F2) then the owner is quite correct in that no F2 models were built post war. As I understand it, the F2 was rationalised into the F Super Sports and the F Super which along with the F4 continued until 1952.
Judging by what I can see of the crosshead lugs, its a pre war car.
