For what it's worth, The starter on my S2 died, and when I replaced it, all my battery problems vanished. Replacing the starter did require taking the wing off, but otherwise wasn't too difficult. My Aero used to go dead after less than a week off the charger. Now I can leave it for WEEKS, without the battery tender and it stays near full charge. It's a miracle I tell you. ;-)
