yep; did mine too after Gambalunga (I think...) posted on how he had
'fettled' his Trad. in a similar fashion.
I used neoprene* sheet with an adhesive backing; cut it to shape and used two layers on the actual heater box and replicated the shape on the bonnet itself.This way ,the two sections mesh together to form a pretty good seal.
It does seem to help in keeping hot engine bay air from the heater intake......
