Hi Chris99,

Very interesting regarding the tubes. Thank you for sharing that information. Here’s the rest of my story, it was very expensive.

I originally ordered new Blockleys directly from the Blockley Company in England and they sent new tubes. As I remember the tubes seemed more heavy duty than the stock tubes. The Indian Dealer mounted the Blockleys with the new tubes and injected the self balancing beads. This combination just didn’t work out, terrible shake of my steering wheel, obviously the front wheels were not balanced well. The dealer was very puzzled because they have had good luck balancing motorcycle tires with the beads. I never suspected maybe the heavier tubes with the self balancing beads might be an issue and assumed there was something wrong with the tires. I ordered new Coker Excelsior tires, used my stock tubes, and the dealer had them computer balanced with gloss black stick on weights on the inner rim. Perfect.

I still really don’t know what went wrong. Too many variables. Interesting about Chris99’s experience with his tubes. Perhaps the self balancing beads with the heavier tubes didn’t work. Anyways very costly. I guess live and learn.
