There is some hope. Some young guys are interested in such old technologies. Of course they can not share Helmut‘s lifetime experience but they are willing to learn everything about the carbs. Even if you consider younger cars, only a hand full of people in my region are able to make the right settings and diagnosis on K Jetroniks.
A similar case like Helmut’s category is about old electronics. Happily I know an expert in Düsseldorf who repairs, if needed, my old Fender, Leak, Quad and McIntosh amps. He is almost 70 and designed a lot of mobile electronics for Kraftwerk, which I learned a year after I was a happy customer.
Interesting to see you still have Leak amp. Many years ago I knew the Leak family, when Harold Leak sold up he retired to Jersey CI took to his bed and stayed there much to the frustration of his wife and daughter.
