I could opt for a replacement set of T-Trac2 in the right size because one dealer has some remaining in stock. They are dot 16.16. which is ok but otherwise when I will start to use them more frequently, say in April 2018, they are almost 2 years old. And the only but important negative point concerning my set is that they have lost their initial elasticity significantly (which could happen with another brand as well),
Now I have seen by chance that there is a new player on the market. Dunlop has developed a Sport Classic tyre which seems to be a good product. More expensive than a T-Trac2 but not astronomicly high, more or less comparable in price with the Vredestein Classic Sprint. Available in both relevant sizes, 165 80 and 185 70. I think I will use my T-Trac 2 to the very end, there is some usable wear left, drive them with a bit less pressure trying to have them softer with a little more grip, as good it will go. And afterwards I would order a brand new set of those Dunlops to give them a try.
