I like the name ‘Speed Six’ but it sound more like it’s named after the number of gears
I wonder if the name Roadster was used as it gives Morgan flexibility to change the engine if required
Having V6 in the name would also limit it as there are and were some great in- line BMW 6 cylinder engines that might be used (having said that a straight 6 might not fit in the engine bay)
I’ve just realised having just bought a Roadster (now collecting it on the 12th) it’s the first car I’ve had with a V6
Most of my cars over the years have been 4 or 5 cylinder diesels
I did have a straight 6 in a BMW 5 series Sport about 18 years ago for a short time when I inherited our Sales Directors car when inbetween Company Cars
