Over the 25 years I have been married to
my Christmas presents to her have included an ironing board, saucepans and a replacement gear knob for her car. She has also bought me kitchen knives. In my defence, we have at times been as poor as church mice as we struggled earlier in our careers with the mortgage, practice buy-in costs for her, school fees etc. In more recent and better times she has also received a new Range Rover and a holiday home on the Dorset coast. Doesn't stop her telling the story about the bloody ironing board though.
