100A means that at 240V you could in theory charge at 24KW,
On a sunny day I add another 3.5 to 4 KW from the PV panels!!
Electric vehicles, charged at home, make much sense as a second car or local runabout. But for anything over a hundred miles or so then petrol, or petrol hybrid and for regular long distance use, diesel, remain the logical choices.
Thanks to the smart meter I see that we used 366KW this month, or about 30KW a day. Charging a car regularly would be a noticeable increase, unless done during a sunny day.
