In contrast to Peter’s experience, we have had our Evoque for almost 4 years and with one minor exception it has been totally reliable.
Although only the base model, trim quality is excellent and equipment levels reasonable. Luggage space is limited, but that will depend on individual circumstances. As some others have commented, the 9 speed auto can be a bit snatchy when starting off, but not really a problem after that.Agree that the rear camera is worthwhile to help parking, but also useful for hitching up if the vehicle is used for towing.
Don’t take any notice of the usual hairdresser jibes, I have driven one around the Land Rover off road tracks at Eastnor and found it just as capable as the Discovery. It also copes with the members car park at Prescott easily!
Anyway, just to make sure I comply with all the usual stereotypes,I also use it most days to pick my 8 year old grandson up from school.
