Thanks for info but the problem has been sorted. My only question is that I have this connector which is like a small bolt with threads which slides in a female and are both covered by two separate rubber boots. This is like a fuse holder but instead it is a threaded bolt . This is on the negative side from the coil to the distributor. All I wish to know is the function of this so that I can eliminate it . I have carefully noted all the comments in this thread. I just wish I can send a photo of the part to someone who is technical and maybe he can tell me what it is Sounds like it might be the connector at the Distributor.
