I bought it through eBay on an accepted offer and although I paid cash when I collected it, the seller would have had to pay 5% of the total price through PayPal which would have been a Hefty £875
Still probably less than a commission sale through a dealer but I think a dealer would have got more for it
Ebay fees for cars are not that steep. They usually work out at £50 to £70 maximum for a car.
It was changed a couple of years ago
You are right it’s not that much now
I think the latest is £10 to list a car then 1% of final selling fee in an auction
Normal items are now 10% of final selling price but capped at £250 so I don’t know if there is a cap for cars
Car classifieds are around £15 per advert and nothing more to pay
