I will admit to not having seen the AAIB report.
It's easy enough to get disorientated up there, without distractions. Just thinking of the 70 something y.o. of a light aircraft that came down in a back garden 5 doors up the road.


Graham yes, flying a chopper generally precludes even scratching. When it comes to fixed wing you'd be surprised how much texting is done by pilots plus using the iPhone to call ahead for a taxi/room/sorry I'll be late home luv.. Actually our traffic issues are fewer than those on the ground but when there is an issue that's when you'd really rather be on the ground. pale
