A quick update, I had my annual service and the use of a top quality 0w40 oil (supplied by myself to the dealer) seems to have reduced the tickover noise quite considerably from the standard 0w30/5w30 some dealers have used in the past.
No idle ticking either (quite common on cold start), in fact no noise other than a velvety smooth running V8
