Antiseize had already been applied previously i must say i always use it, however NGK recommend that you do not use it due to the inaccuracy of the torque setting if used. For me its a must, same with wheel bolts.....never lost a wheel in 53 years!!
Just had a look at mine ( 2011 Duratech running on originals) and though all corroded, front and rear were the worst. They are platinum plugs & were labelled both as Fomoco and NGK with part number AGF S 22FE13J. (So not worth arguing any more over whose plugs are best!)
As I couldn’t find these on flea bay, spoke with very helpful guy in NGK Technical Dept and he says equivalent is PTR 6F 13. Mentioned corrosion issue and he said that the metal bodies are treated with a lubricant coating during manufacture, which may deteriorate. Maybe that also explains the “no need to use anti seize”. Torque settings for alloy heads is 10 to 20 nM.
(You may also see PTR 6D plugs and am told they are virtually the same but different packaging as different numbers are used when plugs are made for various companies.)
