I have recently modified an electric toothbrush for removing hard skin from ones feet. Just cut off all the hairs flush with the the plastic head and stick on a disc of self adhesive Velcro. A similar diameter disc of abrasive cloth with velour backing can then be used and changed when worn out. Just a tiny detail sander really. I have considered using the same idea with a felt pad glued in place and used in conjunction with solvol autosol for aluminium - the applications seem endless! I just don't have the drive in me to do all that polishing.
