And so the throttle cable...
Used a stainless "brake noodle" (bicycle part) with nylon liner, 110 degree bend, $4.75. Took about 4 hours and was much harder than I thought it would be, as I couldn't find a way to completely remove the cable from the trike to work on it.
Also forgot to order a new "barrel" end for the shortened cable so made one from a 1/4" stainless bolt shank. But in the end it works great. Even braved a brief run in 98 degree heat to check it out. Then back to the cool garage for a celebratory beer.
