Sad to say I am on the train home after hitting standing water on the A74M this afternoon, getting a full three wheel instant aquaplane, spinning like a top through a gap in the heavy traffic, going across the hard shoulder, across the verge and then sideways into a tree. Front right corner took the biggest hit, wheel and lower wishbone are stuffed, one of the ears on the wheel spinner is sheared off, the exhaust is flattened and there's a big ding in the body tub. Lower chassis rail might be distinctly dinged out of true too.. Have got it dropped off at Russell Patterson's in Perth so will find out the full extent of the damage in due course.
I'm absolutely fine, though I suspect that tomorrow morning I may have a bit of a headache and upset stomach, symptoms strangely similar to a hangover.
