I'm sure these could be made locally. The total cost including postage is $48.62. I will ask at a small engineering company nearby and see what they could knock them out for. If there is a big enough demand (and it looks like a worthwhile mod)it could be an interesting proposition.
So if you can all be patient I will get you a quote within the next 2 weeks for locally sourced clamps to the same spec.
