Wings happened/formed when I was at school - I thought they were the coolest band.... I was lucky enough to meet Denny Laine around 1980 at a party where he sang a spoof version of Mull of Kintyre - I remember the opening lines:
I'm so f'ing tired...
I'm pissed rolling in from the pub...
etc. He sang it whilst playing a 12 string. Very good it was too!
