Only source seems to be Melvyn Rutter. Have now ordered a new box and tail pipe. The hole/s are (were - temporarily filled with exhaust putty from Halfords) underneath the exit pipe at the rim of the box.
Does anyone have experience of the difference between the tail pipe with resonator and the straight through pipe? Currently the noise is a mellowed burble - very pleasant and discreet. I assume a staright through will be noisier but will it 'burble' more?
A straight through tends to promote a "barking" type sound with individual pulses sounding more like a "bang" if you're after a "burble" then converting to only a "straight through" will give you ear ache and not a very trad-v8 sound.
As +8's have individual pipes from each bank with no balance pipe the "burble" will always be harder to get. If your after the real american style/TVR burble then you're better of going for a balanced rear section. Although I've no idea who does such a thing for a Mog +8.
