I am an absolute anorak car-spotter so I always give the thumbs-up when I see something interesting. Generally speaking the person behind the wheel will give a wave or smile. I remember giving a Lamborghini LM002 a thumbs-up and the owner responded with a huge beam, a thumbs-up in return and an expression that was something like: "I know, right?!"
