I find the same when out in my 4/4
There are many thumbs up's, comments about "great car"
etc
ISame in carparks, people often stop to look at the car. I also find that other drivers are more couteous towards me as well. Even boy racers in modified saxos etc are complimentary!
The most amusing thing I find is that it takes me twice as long to fill up with petrol - but the current chart topper is the day last summer when I'd gone down to see a mate of mine who lives in Penally and we went up to Cresswell Quay for a drink and a cheese sandwich. A young couple and their son came across and asked if the little guy could be photographed in the car
What made a great day even better was that this couple were driving a very nice Daimler SP250 which has always been one of my favourite cars ( Well, its a Vee8 innit, so what do you expect !)
