I can't explain it rationally, but I'm hanging on the the "silencers" (there's a contradiction for you!) in case I ever feel like a mad month in summer.
I would have taken AVOs if Rutters had them in stock. Pity...
I see the issue over clearance. I've already had a close call on the sump - just a slight scrape on the underside caused by a sudden speed bump thingy . It looked a bit too aggresive to be legal, but these days everything's down to speeding. Used to be drink driving. What's the next thing on the PC list?
