Couldn't agree more. Car aesthetics now seem to be derived from jelly moulds (or perhaps blancmange moulds) as you say at one extreme and at the other copies of aggressive 'transformer' toys. No wonder there is an attraction to Morgans and other acknowledged classics where subtlety rather than aggression and novelty play a much greater part.
