That aluminium is tougher than you think. On a level surface you don't have to worry too much. Before I could protest two burly workers on the ferry virtually lefted the front of my car by the mudguards to get the gearbox crossmember unjamed from a slot in the peak of a ramp. I was amazed that there was no damage.
