Maybe the newer cars have already a nicer solution – although invisible, the free hanging OBD-connector in my +4 2009 does not meet my expectation of a tidy electric installation in a car for 50k. Even a protection cap is missing.
So, made an L-aluminum frame, one leg with a hole to mount it using one screw of the fuse-box under the dash, in the other leg cut out corresponding quadratic hole, so the OBD-connector snaps in.
Looks much better now, even like an expensive car...
