Just received a price of essentially $2k for the MMC Stage 1 kit (parts only), including intake, pipes...and an ECU flash that can only be performed by the factory.
Is this normal?
Firstly, I was under the impression that a Stage 1 does not require an ECU flash and secondly that the cost was more reasonable. Thoughts?
You are/were correct on both counts. The MMC stage 1 kit when it was available came out at a little under £1000. You got the silencer pipes and a complete S & S filter kit, both of which when fitted did not require an ECU upgrade.
Suggest you speak to the parts department for an explanation, although it could be related to Euro 4 spec engines.
