Some of the Morgans racing in the Aero Racing challenge in Class A and B (ie the fastest cars) are fitted with full roll cges- not only for safety but because it makes the car a lot stiffer.
For road going morgans it can be worth having an ordinary roll bar- a friend of mine had his life saved by his roll bar when a 4 wheel drive drove up the back of his Morgan in traffic. The roll bar stopped it, not his head.
My roll bar is used for racing and on the road but it is well padded with roll bar foam and brecause I have a 6 point harness I am unlikely to make contact with it.
