Rob. There are a couple of things to consider.
Firstly the tyres are uni-directional. If you have a spare wheel it is probably best to leave it as the original or, get a bidirectional tyre for the spare. This is not something that I had considered and the spare is really only valid for one side. I have never needed the spare anyway and if I had thought about it I would have kept the original unused tyre.

I had overlooked the directional issue but I suppose one could always have the tyre turned on the rim at a convenient moment if the original was irreparable. I am not sure that I would feel comfortable with the potential variation in performance of the two tyre types if a bi-directional tyre was fitted as a spare.
