Doug, it may be worth checking if the filter housing is fitted with the original Ford spec of a dry paper filter, or has the owner swopped it for a K&N type which are 'oiled'
This oil can lead to MAF contamination
Worse is this Cyclone engined SP1 with breather fitting upstream of sensor albeit disconnected.
What were MMC thinking!
