Definitive test for you battery is to put it on Load Tester. Take battery out and put on charger until it shows fully charged (must be fully charged for load test). Then take it to a mechanic, tune up shop, local parts store that does testing, or buy a load tester. Attach Load Tester leads to battery, push load switch, and read battery condition on tester's meter. If battery fails load test it is bad and nothing will fix it.
When you replace battery I recommend finding one with a higher CCA rating than the 300 CCA piece of crap that came in it. I just put a 450 CCA Exide in mine and now it cranks over with authority. It's a Chinese battery but the local cops are using it as the replacement in their Harley Police Specials.
