I loath and detest the universal use of "Guy" for Chaps or even worse for Ladies.
As some of you will have noticed, I always address my fellow TMer's as Chaps unless I have met you and am comfortable with you then it would be Mate.
I don't particularly care if Chaps is seen as old fashioned, I am not an American despite half my family being so.
