Agree with Peter,
Diconnecting the battery will not reset the error. I´ve tried it myself a few times.
I have an OBD reader that I can plug into both my Mog and my Fiat. It allows me to clear the «engine light».
My Morgan comes up with the engine light after a ride on bumpy roads. Which is the code for a V8, mine´s a four cylinder!
