Graham are the edges of the metal plate, presumably galvanised sheetmetal, has the edges turned over to offer some sort of reinforcement to the panel and to stop it flapping.
If the edges are turned over would it be about 5mm turned over. The factory must have used a variety of covers metal or wood or nothing. Thanks for all replies.
