Could anyone please tell me what exactly is the black underseal that the factory apply to new mogans. No doubt at some time in the future it will need refreshing, and using the same stuff would I guess be best/easiest.
Probably Waxoyl. You have two choices:
1. If you have patience and the inclination, scrape it off and replace with Tectyl ( much better, less sticky and a better product)
2. If you don't, re-apply Waxoyl at regular intervals. ( The car needs to be in warm ambient temperature otherwise the W-oyl will never 'go off')
Whatever you do, do not try to 'patch' the waxoyl with body schutz- it just doesn't work
