The question now is … how tight do I do them up?
It doesn't really matter as Rudge hubs tighten themselves (at least in theory). That said I have always tightened them as tight as I can and found that the standard spanner and hammer kit works well enough. Copper-ease on the tapers deals with the removal issues.
